Yesterday morning I returned to one of my most favourite places in the whole world -
Sunbury Antiques Market at Kempton Park Race course.
This time around I went with a friend who is an interiors stylist and she brought wheels which meant massive potential for getting bulkier items back to our abode!
We arrived for 7am, it was still dark and bitterly cold.
wrapped up in layers of winter woolies we made a pit stop for a bacon sandwich before letting ourselves loose on the rows and rows of stalls.
We trawled for a good 4 hours, making mental notes on potential purchases, forever battling the 'oh but its so lovely' with the 'but seriously where would I put it?! We don't have the space' argument inside my head.
My friend managed to find tons of cool stuff for an impending shoot and I picked up a few nice bits and bobs too.
By the time we made it back to the car and loaded up there was only just enough space for the 2 of us to get in.
So here are my finds that made it home. . .
6 old french fruit crates which I have stacked to make a DIY storage/display cabinet
a pair of rusty angel wings which sit around the neck of a bottle-so cute!
and a little wooden heart for my beloved for Valentines Day.
The next event is on Tuesday 28th February 2012!
